Troop 43 Hoagie Sale

What is a Hoagie? The most widely accepted story centers on an area of Philadelphia known as Hog Island, which shipyard during World War 1 (1914-1918). The Italian immigrants working there would bring giant sandwiches made with cold cuts, spices, oil, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and peppers for their lunches. These workers were named "hoagie's". Over the years, the name was attached to the sandwiches, but under a different spelling

Our  Hoagies are made to pre-order on the date of delivery. We use a fresh Hoagie roll. We put extra virgin olive oil on the roll, then layers of provolone cheese, capicola, salami, tomatoes, seasoned onions, and if you like we make it spicy. Our recipe is the same as the Dundee Scouts Marching Band did in the past. Boy Scout Troop is proud to say we have been making and selling our Hoagies for 15 + years. Twice a year we have our sales to support  boys going to Summer Camp and other Scouting activates.

Our next sale will be in the spring of 2016. Check back we will post the sale start and delivery date when it is determined.
